In 1967's Yasothorn, a province in Isan, the northeast part of Thailand, there was a pair of lovers named Thong and Saroi. Yam, with Thong as his nephew and both lived in a village in the province, was being bombarded by Jei. Jei was a girl in dark skin, and became crazy before the so-called right and handsome Yam. Thong and Saroi tried to put two people together, and their attempt was nearly success. At last, Yam could not accept the love of Jei's.

At the same moment, the relation between Thong and Saroi was under the threat of Madam Doktho, Saroi's auntie. As a woman from the high society, Doktho disliked Thong's low-being. She separated the pair by sending Saroi to Bangkok. Saroi have missed Thong very much since then.

One day Doktho called Saroi back, quickly. Saroi's auntie had been arranged a grand marriage between her niece and the son of the wealthy mayor of the village. Would this marriage cut off Thong and Saroi at last? Would Yam accept Jei finally?
