Mak and Nak, a newly married couple, have bought an old house and an antique brooch. The house and the land nearby is also where Mae Nak, a haunted ghost-wife died during she gives birth of her baby, situates. When the couple just moved in, Mae Nak scared away property agent and burglars whom trespass the house.

However, such protection is not free. Later Mak is in a coma, and for a long time. Nak has to locate the hidden grave of Mae Nak, burns down the body of the death, restores her skull with the brooch, and makes the spirit free...
