This is a film adapted from Nai-In award novel, Red Mailbox, The, by Apichat Petchleela. The novel is a story of travel and romance. Khaiyoi is a young man from Bangkok. He enters the Fine Arts Department of a university in Chiang Mai, and as an undergraduate student. He used to study in boys' school and be shy before girls, even cannot speak fluently. The situation changes when Dakanda, a pretty and active girl comes. They become and only be closed friends because, Dakanda is in love of another boy. This relation turns worse and Khaiyoi has his journey to the South. He travels by a ferry which is going to Pha-ngan Island, Surai Thani Province. The rolling waves make him fall from the top of the ferry, and his leg broken. He was sent to the hospital of the island. He meets Nui, a young nurse there. He and she become good and closed friends as time goes, and he is always eager for her smiles and medicine. He wants to stay in the hospital forever. Nui may understand Khaiyoi's heart and keep the relation at the present stage. Khaiyoi has to discharge from hospital and return to Chiang Mai. What will his decision be?
