On 14 October 1973, the military force decided to clear the freedom fighters were battling the ruling military regime. Many of them lost their lives on the streets in the name of democracy. Seksan Prasertkul, a student activist at Thammasat University who led crowds in passionate protest, is one of the survivers.
He lost many of his friends, but soon paired with Chiranan Pitpreecha, who joined him in his fight. Realizing they had to leave Bangkok, they headed for the forests and the Communists of Thailand, like others before them, and others who would come after them. But although they had dreams of returning victorious to the city, they discovered that corrupt politics, dependency of foreign regimes and power struggles were standing between them and their ideals. They soon decided they had to escape, but someone was sent after them with dire intentions ......
