Eric Wong began his movie watching 'career' and fin 1997, met Ryan Law, the founder of the Hong Kong Movie Database. He wrote his first film note and analysis a year later. He has been learning Thai since 2002, which one of the main purposes is for the running of "CinemaThai.com".

Ryan Law
Ryan Law started his analysis on Hong Kong cinema in 1990 and created the Hong Kong Movie DataBase in 1995 (www.hkmdb.com). He met Eric in 1997. Then he focused on Korean cinema by setting up website KR Films in 2001, a Chinese language site examining and recording information on Korean cinema (www.krmdb.com). In 2002, he assisted Eric for the setup of "CinemaThai.com" by helping with the web design and background work.
